25 Year-Old Man Awarded $2.3 Million Suit

/>

A 25 year-old man was awarded a massive $2.3 million dollar suit by a Manhattan jury.  The man was awarded the settlement after an accident that left him without a leg. What is more surprising with the accident is that individual who lost his leg was intoxicated at the time, nearly double the legal limit,  yet still received the massive settlement.

While walking home from a bar the man was approaching the rail system.  While there,  he fell on the tracks.  An oncoming train then ran the man over which cut his right leg off.  The lawyers arguing for the injured man stated that the rail operator saw something on the track and should have stopped.  It is the policy of the rails to stop if they see an object on the track even if it is believed to be garbage.  The defendants can and are expected the appeal the settlement.
