Woman Shot with Arrow in New York City

A woman was shot by an arrow in New York City on Sunday.  The woman was in the Bronx whenever the accident occurred. 

She was dropping off other passengers in her vehicle when she stepped out of her car.  She reported feeling something hit her in the stomach.  She said that initially she thought that it was a baseball,  but when she looked down she saw the nearly 3 foot arrow sticking in her.  

The woman had to be rushed to the Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx for emergency surgery to remove the arrow.

Police have no idea right now where the arrow might have come from.  They are reviewing surveillance cameras and looking into people who may have a history with archery related offenses.
