Man Killed in ATV Accident

A man in upstate New York was killed when the All TerrainVehicle he was riding collided with a pickup truck.

45-year-old Randy J. McIntyre was driving an ATV on ST-8 inthe Town of Columbus in Chenango County. He reportedly struck a pickup truckaround 3:45 p.m. on October 16. The New York State Police in Norwich, New York,responded to the accident. A New Berlin Emergency squad transported the badlyinjured McIntyre to the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New Yorkwhere he was later pronounced dead.

The operator of the pickup truck was not injured. The New YorkState Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the cause ofthe collision.
