Woman Killed in Geneseo Car Accident

A woman from Bath was killed in a one-car accident inGeneseo.

According to the New York State Police, 63-year-old CarolAndrews, lost control of her vehicle when she was driving on Interstate 390causing the car to leave the road. The accident occurred around 2 p.m., the carstruck the guide wire on the side of the road, became airborne and continueddown a steep wooden ravine.

The passenger, 82-year-old Mildred Caughel, was pronounceddead at the scene. Andrews was airlifted by Mercy Flight to the Strong MemorialHospital with non-life threatening injuries.

New York State Police are still investigating the accident.
