NJ Man Gets 7 Years for Fatal DUI Crash
/> A man from Bridgewater, New Jersey has been sentenced toseven years in prison following a drunken driving crash that killed a New Yorkwoman he claimed was his fiancée. The 36 year-old Arran Christie pleaded guilty tofirst-degree vehicular homicide to the crash that claimed the life of 48year-old Ivette Agnez. Superior Court Judge Paul Armstrong ruled that Christiemust serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole. Police say Christie was traveling west on Foothill Road onFebruary 15 with Agnez when he lost control of his 2006 BMW, struck a curb andleft the road. The car overturned, struck a tree and became engulfed in flames.Christie had a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit.
