Last Friday, a crash occurred in Dryden. A northbound vehicle traveling along Route 38 struck a southbound vehicle head on around 5:45pm. The driver of the northbound vehicle has been found to have been intoxicated at the time.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a professor at Cornell University, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drunk driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Syracuse. She was in fair condition as of Sunday and has been charged with DWI.
