On Friday, a construction worker was injured in an accident in Queens. The worker was repaving Rockaway Boulevard when a car traveling 60mph came down the road. The worker pushed a coworker out of the way and was struck.
After the crash, the man was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he lost his leg. According to police, the driver was high on cocaine at the time and was arguing with a passenger. She has been charged with reckless endangerment, DWI and vehicular assault.
