by Administrator 25. February 2009 05:19

A man from New York City has been sentenced for several years to the Ulster County jail after pleading guilty to charges that left a 63 year-old man dead in late 2007.  The man sentenced to jail recently pleaded guilty to charges vehicular manslaughter and to hit and run that led to the victims death.

The man,  a 21 year-old, was jailed for felony manslaughter and the added charges of fleeing the scene of the accident he caused.  The man was driving in his Range Rover when he then struck and killed the victim as he was crossing the road.  The victim of the accident was air flown to a local area hospital,  where he was then later pronounced dead from injuries that he received.
