New York City Taxi drivers are organizing a 'Tips for Twins' day.  The event is asking taxi drivers to donate their tips from a single day to the cause of helping to provide for two twins.  The philanthropy event hopes to raise money for two 13 year old twins who lost their parents, one of the parents was a taxi driver.  The parents of the twins were killed in a hit and run accident.

The two parents,  who were both Egyptian immigrants,  were killed on February 14th. The two were killed by a driver who was speeding in a luxury car and ran a red light.  The accident occurred on Staten Boulevard.  The father is a cab driver who worked through out New York.  The event organizers hope that this event can occur yearly to help raise money and pay for college for the twins.  The twins are being raised by their aunt and uncle.
