Two Injured on New Jersey Turnpike

/>

Two people were injured last night when their car crashed into a tour bus on the New Jersey turnpike near the Lancaster-Lebanon interchange. The vehicle was driven by 18 year old Missy Marufa of Egg Harbor. The car struck the rear of the Mayflower tour bus, driven by Sergi Kovalyshkin of Staten Island, which was carrying 27 passengers, according to state police. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. four miles west of the Lebanon exit in Rapho Township.

After hitting the bus, the car careened across the highway and crashed into a tree. The bus, which was headed from Pittsburgh to New York, struck the dividing barrier before coming to a controlled stop at the Mt. Gretna maintenance shed.

Marufa and a passenger, Patrick Daniel Richard, were taken to the Hershey Medical Center. No one on the bus was injured.
